Concordia Yawl, 1951

ROWDY (Hull #6) is an excellent example of the highly reputable Concordia Yawl design. Completed in 1951, she is the 2nd Concordia built by the German shipyard Abeking and Rasmussen. She has been lovingly cared for and has had many improvements over recent years. A recent 2010 survey reported that she was in “very good” overall condition. Some noteable improvements include:

•Mast stripped and refinished (2010)
•Bottom stripped and re-fastened (2006)
•New Decks – plywood covered with Dynel (2004)
•Main, Jib and Mizzen (2006) (Traditional Tanbark Color) Quantum Sails
•Radial Spinnaker (2005)
•Engine top end rebuild (2006)
•Fresh water heat exchanger flush (2006)
•Raw water intake strainer added (2006)
•Hull sanded and painted (2007, 2009)
•Cabin top varnish stripped, stained and varnished (2006)
•New Interior cushions (2006) – Sunbrella Fabric
•(1990) New floor timbers, Replaced stainless keel bolts, New Mast Step

ROWDY is in the water and spends her summers sailing on beautiful Narragansett Bay. Her owners would like to find the next “caretaker” for this timeless beauty so please call or email to set up a viewing.
